Holiday Giveaway: Hot Chocolate Sticks

Santa is well on his way to bring joy to lots of little girls and boys…

So don’t us grown-ups deserve a little treat too?

We would like to offer up a 4 pack of our Hot Chocolate Sticks to one lucky blog visitor this week!

Imagine a rich chocolate ganache square topped with a hand crafted vanilla marshmallow, melted into a steaming cup of milk and swirled into hot chocolate perfection. Oh yeah, they are so good :)

To make your hot chocolate, heat your milk in a mug until it reaches a steaming temperature. Place a Hot Chocolate stick into the milk and let it sit for approx. 5 minutes. Stir with the stick until the marshmallow is frothy and the chocolate is completely mixed. Drink and enjoy!

When I was little, for several years we would cut down our own Christmas tree. We'd all bundle in the car and drive to the tree farm, where we'd run around until we found a tree we all liked. Mom and Dad did most of the actual cutting, but we each got a turn with the saw. Then we'd drag the tree back to the parking area, have it measured, pay and load it up on the car. The whole experience was so exciting for me as a child, and makes me wish I could go back and live it again.

One year, when we were still living on Spot, my brother and I went out in to the field behind the house and cut down our first and only live Christmas tree. It was pretty, but by the time it came to take the ornaments off, it was VERY prickly. We had to end up wrapping it in a sheet and dragging it out of the house :)

My most cherished memory is having makeshift snowball fights with my family using the wrapping paper from our gifts. Lots of fun and laughter!
